Founded in Beijing in 1948, CRCC is the second largest state-owned construction enterprise in China. CRCC is also the world's top construction contractor by total revenue as published in 2012. CRCC has built not only railways but also world class commercial properties from Hong Kong and Libya to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. In Malaysia, CRCC was instrumental in the construction of the Second Penang Bridge while studying the feasibility of the Undersea Tunnel there and partnering with other developers including PKNS for the construction of properties in Selangor. Yet construction contracting is not its only business as CRCC is also a leader in surveying, design and consultation, industrial manufacturing, real estate development, capital operation and logistics.
